Progress

We are making nice progress!! I'm still out of commission but everyone else is still working hard.

The Baby is Here!

Well, we had the baby but the house isn't ready. Oh well, I can use all the help I can get.

Really, really dirty

We weren't prepared for all the dust so I ran home(we lived just through the alley) and grabbed some aprons and bibs for face masks.
I found out I was pregnant a few weeks after this so opted out of the rest of the demo.

Dirty work

The air was horrible breaking into the living room. We were originally only going to dig in this room and combine the bathroom and kitchen. Of course, once we were started, we found all sorts of work to be done.

Some pictures of the house when we first started working on it. The entry and bathroom were horribly blue and narrow and tall. The kitchen was tiny and hardly any cupboards. The new house is going to be SO different.

We Have Color:)

Texture is on and a few rooms have color, main floor bathroom is red. Upstairs is a blue.

House Of Sanding Fog

Dale wasn't expecting the long mudding process and is getting his fill of sanding while Dad does the mudding. Dad is affectionately calling it "the house of sanding fog" now.

October Blizzard

A brutal winter storm October 5th slowed down our progress and pulled our electric right off of the house. Luckily, we were almost done with the rewiring and they were able to switch us over to our new service pretty quickly.

More Corners Finished

Stairway to Heaven? It's just a ladder at the top of the stairs.


Corners are on and taking a lot of mud~over 90 corners. Texturing by Wednesday~1/4/06??
